A company was started and a Idea was born.

In 2004 two young men Sheldon Eby and Vaughn Martin decided that they should open a furniture store in Hagerstown Md. Legacy Furniture has delivered furniture to satisfied customers for over a decade. In that time, from 2004-2018 the Amish furniture market has changed drastically and matured in many ways. Catalogs and options have exploded. Most customers love it. But a few are overwhelmed and possibly annoyed at all the potential decisions. In the process of thinking about that and trying some 5 piece sets on our floor. A idea was hatched to try looking at this from a new angle. Bedroom Suite in a Box was born.

Brick and mortar stores still reign.

In the outset we want you to know that we still believe that physical stores are some of the best places in the world to do business, after all we still run one. It it hard to replace that old fashion look you in the eye, shake your hand and feel the furniture when it comes to doing business. And possibly if your local Amish furniture store is small enough the owner would even be the guy who makes the delivery. - Small town America is still awesome.

All this comes at a cost.

While all this customization and so forth is awesome, it does come at a cost. Furniture is built in very small batches, possibly one order at a time, lots of paperwork is generated, sales people are slaving over their computers getting the orders right, delivery men are unloading trucks and hustling all over America delivering YOUR special piece.

The idea is simple...

The idea is simply we offer a basic well loved Bedroom Suite, that is excellent Amish handcrafted quality, offered in a beautiful North american hardwood and stained in a color that accents the lumber well. In a effort to lower the price we reduce the amount of options so we can build and stain in larger batches. It is then crated in a way that can thrive going truck freight and is dropped off in your driveway.
